Ching Chiao has more than 15 years of professional experiences in the Internet, domain names, and mobile industry. He has been serving in various leadership / managerial positions ranging from policy, technical, sales & marketing, and financing roles.
Ching has been elected by the gTLD Registry Stakeholder Group to serve in the ICANN’s GNSO Council since 2010. GNSO coordinates and develops guiding principles for ICANN’s New gTLD program.
He is one of the founding members of DotAsia Organisation, the registry operator of “.asia” Top-Level domain. He served as DotAsia’s Vice President since early 2007, overseeing the TLD launch process, regulatory liaison, sales channel management, and community development. On early 2013, he was elected to serve as Director of the Board.
Prior to joining DotAsia, Ching was the Director of International Affairs and Public Relations of Taiwan Network Information Center (TWNIC, .tw registry). From early 2000 to mid 2002, Ching was with Register.com based in New York City.
Ching earned his MBA from State University of New York at Binghamton.
